Lovely Toby came into our care after being found close to death. He was in an appalling state – painfully underweight, covered in fleas and lice, and with skin that was red raw from the constant irritation. He was completely shut down and seemed to have lost all hope.

For the first three days after arriving with us, Toby did little more than sleep. His exhausted little body had simply given up, and we honestly didn’t know if he was going to make it.

But slowly, as the days passed and he began to feel safe, warm and cared for, the beautiful soul hidden underneath started to emerge.

Despite everything he has endured, Toby is the gentlest of boys. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he is incredibly loving and affectionate. He has a wonderful temperament and asks for so very little in return. Toby currently shares his kennel with Sophia, and the two get along beautifully.

Toby has now been fully health checked, castrated, vaccinated and has tested clear on all of his blood tests. Physically he has recovered, but what he needs most now is a family of his own. A soft hand, a warm bed and a place on the sofa are all Toby has ever wanted. In return, he will give you his whole heart. After everything life has thrown at him, this special boy deserves to know what it feels like to be truly loved.
